Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a General Foreman to plan, organize, and direct foremen and craft crews in alignment with project schedules and state and federal requirements. You will read blueprints, supervise activities, interpret specifications, enforce safety, and optimize work sequences to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of five years related experience.
Strong teamwork orientation and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and determine work procedures.
Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and craft workers.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
Plan work sequences to meet the construction schedule.
Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements.
Analyze and resolve work problems.
Maintain time records.
Make cost estimates for contracts.
