Qualifications

• BS, BA, or BEng in a technical field or commensurate experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30% is required.
• 5+ years of experience managing teams of technical resources.
• 10+ years of engineering or operations experience.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, power, cooling, and networks.
• Experience leading projects related to process improvement and automation.
• Ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a dispersed data center operations team.
• Maintain and operate server hardware and supporting infra at scale.
• Become a technical expert in Meta's infrastructure.
• Provide strategic direction for site and fleet operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering and operations.
• Use data analytics to identify inefficiencies and risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for fleet health and capacity.
• Evolve processes for scalable global operations.
• Mentor engineers in daily work and growth opportunities.
• Foster ownership, innovation, and safety.
• Conduct performance management for the team.
• Act as incident manager for large-scale outages and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop and implement automated tooling and best practices.
• Develop deep knowledge of a hyper-scale fleet via data analysis.
• Report metrics globally and share with peers.
