Meta is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager for Data Center Infrastructure in Huntsville, AL. You will lead a geographically dispersed team responsible for server hardware, uptime, and scalable operations in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities include strategic direction for site and fleet-level operations, incident management, and data-driven process improvements. The role requires strong leadership, data analytics, Linux experience, and vendor management in a large-scale data center setting.

Qualifications

• BS/BA/BEng in a technical field or commensurate experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Experience leading technical projects in process improvement, technology, and/or automation.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical resources (people and performance).
• Understanding of data center infrastructure and/or operations (power, cooling, network).
• Experience managing projects, incidents and vendors.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive decisions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• 10+ years of engineering or operations experience in mature environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a geographically dispersed data center operations team.
• Establish and manage a team for server hardware and supporting infrastructure at scale.
• Become a technical expert in Meta's infrastructure, platforms, tools, and systems.
• Provide strategic direction for site and fleet-level operations.
• Analyze and drive continuous improvement in engineering and operational performance.
• Use data analytics to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fleet health and capacity.
• Develop globally consistent processes to scale operations.
• Mentor engineers and foster growth opportunities.
• Foster ownership, innovation, collaboration, and safety.
• Act as incident manager for large-scale production events.
• Contribute to automated tooling and best practices.
• Develop deep knowledge of a hyper-scale computing fleet.
