Job summary

SS Software Solutions, LLC is seeking Datacenter Field Operations Technicians to support a global hyperscaler at a major US data-center campus in New Albany, Ohio. This on-site role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaboration with provisioning, facility, and supply-chain teams.

You will join a 24×7 on-site team, performing cable, rack, and connectivity work across hot/cold aisles, with emphasis on L1/L2 troubleshooting and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center cabling and network hardware installation experience.
• Experience with fiber installation and testing in hyperscale environments.
• Experience with large-scale rack deployment projects (50+ racks).
• Familiarity with data center environments and DCIM concepts.
• Preference for experience with liquid-cooled rack systems (AALC).

Responsibilities

• Rack activity: reception, unpacking, cabling, and energization.
• Install front-end and back-end cabling for fabric/spine switches.
• Perform rack turn-up, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Conduct fiber tests: OTDR, power meter, and VFL.
• Perform preventive maintenance and break/fix on network circuits.
• Coordinate with provisioning, facility, and supply-chain teams.
