Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Field Project Manager for Data Center projects in Amarillo, TX. You will oversee installation, programming, start-up, certification, and customer training on assigned projects, ensuring work remains within contract scope, budget, and schedule.

You will lead field teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage risks, ensure quality per codes, and deliver world-class service with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure.
• Strong supervision skills and installation experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems; may adapt procedures, processes, tools to meet the more complex requirements of the job.
• Strong field supervision skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
• Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools and reading blueprints); advanced math skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and scope of work as required by the contract.
• Works with the Project Coordinator to prepare project installation plan and implement job procedures.
• Supervises Project Specialists, Installers and subcontractors in the field; mentors and develops colleagues.
• Recruits and hires Project Specialist and Installers; manages performance of direct reports.
• Coordinates and supervises subcontractors; ensures on-site activities meet quality standards.
• Identifies potential changes in scope and opportunities to improve customer satisfaction; mitigates risks.
