Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in Wyoming is seeking a Data Center Repair Technician to join our infrastructure engineering team. This role focuses on physical repair and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and related components.

You will travel locally to support multiple sites. The position requires a technical diploma or certification in electronics or computer hardware, proven hardware repair experience, and familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Arista gear and x86

Qualifications

Technical diploma or certification in electronics, computer hardware, or a related field.
Proven repair/maintenance of IT and network hardware in a data center.
Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Arista hardware and x86 servers.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on repairs and replacements of defective hardware components in data center equipment.
Manage the lifecycle of hardware components, from installation to decommissioning.
Conduct physical inspections and routine maintenance on data center equipment.
Oversee inventory management of spare parts and components.
Coordinate replacement activities to minimize downtime.
Document repair activities and update system configurations.
Perform basic physical layer troubleshooting and cable tests.
Support new hardware installations and setup of network/server infrastructure.
Participate in emergency response teams for urgent hardware issues.
