EOS IT Solutions in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an experienced Data Center Field Operations Lead to oversee the infrastructure engineering team responsible for low voltage cabling, fiber optics, and data center layout.

You will guide installation, maintenance, and testing, enforce safety and quality standards, mentor staff, manage documentation and test results, and drive continuous improvements across facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technology services/technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams and managing installations, services, and maintenance of low voltage cable infrastructure systems.
• 2+ years of people management, supervisory, team lead, mentoring, or equivalent experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables with a focus on fiber optic technologies.
• Expert knowledge of industry standards including BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and NEC.
• Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI TECH, Corning TSLAN-500) preferred.
• Strong leadership with customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, service, and maintenance of low voltage cabling and communications cabling.
• Lead and mentor a team in pulling cables, racking and stacking equipment, and managing cable infrastructure in the data center.
• Ensure quality of fiber and copper connections, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage technical challenges.
• Develop and enforce Method of Procedure (MOP) and Change Method of Procedure (CMOP) guidelines.
• Manage work tickets and infrastructure interfaces for efficient project execution.
• Oversee documentation, validate port maps, and provide advanced troubleshooting support.
• Direct power distribution and cable management to optimize performance and safety.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and SLAs.
