Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities.

You will oversee electrical and mechanical systems, standby generators, UPS, PDUs, chiller and cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment, supporting high uptime and scalable infrastructure. The role requires hands-on technical proficiency, the ability to work flexible shifts (up to 12 hours) and travel between data center sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment with 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
