Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers and related systems.

This role supports multiple site locations across Texas and beyond. You will join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, performing daily rounds, PM tasks, and incident resolution to ensure 24/7 availability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Knowledge of network design and low voltage cabling.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management System.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical documentation.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with practices and local regulations.
