Job summary

CORE Group in Memphis, TN seeks a Data Center Superintendent to lead on-site field execution of complex data center construction. You will coordinate multiple trades, ensure safety and schedule adherence, and work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver world-class facilities.

The role requires 5+ years in construction with 2+ years coordinating multi-trade sites, strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, and OSHA NFPA familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in construction with 2 years leading multi-trade coordination on-site.
• Experience supervising data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IBC, local permitting and inspection processes.
• On-site Memphis, TN work with ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data center construction activities to meet standards and quality.
• Plan and direct site phases across trades and lead coordination meetings.
• Maintain logs, progress reports, schedules, and cost/quantity data.
• Enforce contract expectations; approve contractor work after inspections.
• Inspect workmanship, safety compliance, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain a safe site per OSHA, NFPA, and related regs including lockout/tagout.
• Oversee inspections with authorities, utility providers, and commissioning agents.
• Support commissioning, turnover, testing, punch lists, and warranties.
• Develop relationships with contractors, inspectors, and local officials.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, work orders, and purchase orders.
