TEKsystems is seeking a detail-oriented Cable Technician to support fiber validation, auditing, and troubleshooting activities in New Albany, Ohio. You will verify infrastructure, assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues, and document findings for audit reports and recommendations.

This contract-to-hire role requires Layer 1 troubleshooting experience, telecom infrastructure knowledge, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of EDP / technical design documentation.
• Knowledge of telecom / network infrastructure concepts.
• Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting (Layer 1).
• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable Technicians to support Fiber validation, auditing, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Support Fiber audit activities, including verification and validation of infrastructure

Assist in troubleshooting, identifying connectivity and configuration issues

Validate inventory, connectivity, and documentation accuracy across network assets

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies

Document findings and provide clear audit reports and recommendations

Required Skills & Experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Current Site Locations: The immediate need is in Columbus Ohio for 5-6 months. However, this is subject to change. Location: 1 Community Circle, New Albany, Ohio. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role includes a rotating on-call schedule. During site turn-up's, the schedule shifts to 10-hour days, 6 days per week.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
