Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking contractors for data center cabling and network installation in Social Circle, GA. The role involves installing wireways, racks, patch panels, and grounding, with expected work both inside and outside the building.

The ideal candidate will have experience with fiber knowledge, cable termination, and structured cabling, and will be able to pull wires and supervise conduit work. This is a contract position with onsite duties in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Network cabling and fiber systems experience required.
• Experience wiring and installing data center components.
• Ability to lay out and install wireways, racks, patch panels, and grounding.
• Familiarity with terminating blocks and patch panels.

Responsibilities

• Install and layout wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches and receptacles.
• Build and mount backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels and fiber hardware.
• Terminate all IDC connections (110/66 blocks, patch panels).
• Work inside and outside buildings to complete data center installs.
• Pull wires and supervise conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operate hand tools and power tools as required.

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices

Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).

Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).

Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers.

Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.

Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
