Job summary

Cologix in Columbus, OH seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee datacenter infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems, cooling, UPS, and power distribution. You will lead preventive maintenance, monitor temperatures and PUE, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires at least 5 years managing mission-critical facilities, experience with chillers, CRAC/CRAH, AutoCAD, Visio, and strong communication skills to operate in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing mission critical facilities.
• Experience with cooling subsystems such as Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, etc.
• Understanding of IT systems including but not limited to servers, network systems, fiber and copper cabling
• Experience with AutoCAD and Visio
• Experience in large, complex construction projects
• Good knowledge of network structured cabling and its best practice.
• Ability to read and comprehend single line diagrams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort in working in a fast paced 24x7 environment

Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical and electrical operations within the datacenters.
• Track cooling capacity, temperatures and efficiency across the facilities.
• Monitor electrical capacity, UPS loads, customer consumption and breaker availability.
• Maintain detailed site documentation including As-Builts and single-line diagrams.
• Lead troubleshooting and coordinate preventive maintenance per vendor specs.
