Job summary

JLL is hiring a Building Engineer to support data center operations in Chandler, AZ. You will ensure uptime by maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, HVAC, and controls, while following safety and preventive maintenance procedures.

The role requires 2+ years in data centers, strong problem solving, and proficiency with CMMS, MS Office, and Google Suite. On-site, you will work in a fast-paced critical facility and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a data center/critical facility.
• Experience with building systems including UPS, generators, and switchgears.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all building systems to support 100% uptime (fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers, plumbing, electrical).
• Monitor operation of refrigeration, HVAC equipment, boilers, pumps, and electrical systems; record readings and adjust as needed.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets; follow emergency escalation procedures.
