Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a Building Engineer for data center operations in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on maintaining critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, and cooling systems, to ensure 100% uptime.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize building systems while adhering to safety policies and site procedures. The position requires 2+ years in a data center or critical facility, strong communication skills, and ability to work varied shifts,

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a data center/critical facility.
• Ability to traverse large campus-like settings.
• Lifting minimum 50 lbs.
• Work with UPS, generators, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.
• Experience with Corrigo is a plus.
• Able to work varied schedules including holidays.
• Must be able to respond to site emergencies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on data center infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical, generators, cooling systems).
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration, chilled water, boilers, pumps, and valves.
• Record readings and adjust operations to ensure proper equipment performance.
• Analyze system operation, diagnose problems, and take corrective action.
• Follow hazardous materials storage and disposal policies.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
• Understand and follow emergency escalation procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required.
