Job summary

Accenture is seeking a seasoned data centre facilities engineer to lead assessments, design power and cooling solutions, and optimise white-space and cabling in complex data centre environments across multiple clients.

You will develop ongoing sustainability plans, produce engineering design packages, and collaborate with IT workload teams to ensure facilities readiness is aligned with broader transformation programmes. Travel may be required (25%–100%).

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in data centre facilities engineering, design, or operations with hands-on depth in power, cooling, white-space and cabling.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience conducting data centre facility assessments and producing design packages.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in data centre consolidation, exit, or migration programmes.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in data centre sustainability metrics and energy reduction levers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years).

Responsibilities

• Conduct data centre facilities assessments and evaluate power, cooling, white-space, and cabling against standards.
• Design and engineer power and cooling solutions including UPS, PDU, generators, and cooling layouts.
• Develop white-space and cabling designs with rack layouts and cable pathways.
• Lead consolidation and exit planning, including decommissioning sequencing and equipment disposition.
• Develop sustainability plans focusing on PUE and energy efficiency; design roadmaps.
