Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. leads complex construction projects, primarily in the data center sector, by supporting the Sr. Project Manager with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.

The Project Manager oversees change requests, reporting, and coordination with clients and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering) or combination of experience and/or education.
• 5+ years of direct experience
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities
• A good understanding of how to read drawings and specifications
• Familiar with computer-based estimating
• Knowledge of billing and collections

Responsibilities

• Estimating project scope and costs
• Manage project expectations and execution of subcontractors
• Maintaining project documentation
• Tracking project expenses and budget
• Preparing reports
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors
• Attend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
• Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approval
• Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences, and errors/omissions
• Monitor field work and/or contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications, and codes
• Submittal and RFI processes
• Early completion and tracking of billing
