Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to sustain mission-critical facilities and ensure 24/7 uptime across diverse Texas sites. The role covers electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, with hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

You will monitor BMS/EPMS, perform rack installs, and coordinate with contractors under SLAs, with shifts up to 12 hours and travel between data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
