Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical facilities and maintain 99.999% uptime across our data centers in Virginia. Join a team that builds, operates, and troubleshoots power, cooling, and network equipment.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, assist with rack installs, PM, and incident response. Travel between active sites and potential relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel to data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to work at multiple sites and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
