Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission‑critical infrastructure and maintain 99.999% uptime.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, support rack-level changes, and lead continuous improvement tasks in a fast‑paced data center environment. You will work with a diverse team across AWS infrastructure services, providing on‑site support, coordinating with contractors, and adhering to safety and change-management

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor and manage daily work requests; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per procedures and local law.
• Shift schedules can be up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations on-call.
