Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to join our Mesa, AZ team. You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance on mission-critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety equipment to help achieve 99.999% uptime.

This on-site role requires flexibility, the ability to travel between facilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to document procedures and support change management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring work complies with practices and local laws.
