Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical and mechanical work with 24/7 reliability targets and collaboration across AWS teams. The position requires travel between data centers, flexibility for long shifts, and adherence to safety and local regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• Ability to travel between data center locations.
• Ability to work long shifts and at heights.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems in data centers.
• Support troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installations and decommissioning per SLAs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with change management documentation and technical writing.
