Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to serve on the front line of hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance within mission-critical facilities.

You will monitor, operate, and troubleshoot essential infrastructure including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems to ensure 24/7 reliability for Amazon's global services. The role involves working with a diverse team of engineers and technicians, traveling between sites as needed, and

Qualifications

• Electrical facilities maintenance experience (1+ years).
• Mechanical facilities maintenance experience (1+ years).
• Microsoft Office products experience (1+ years).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per procedures and local laws.
• Shift changes up to 12 hours; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
