Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to monitor and maintain mission-critical facility equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire/life safety gear.

You will perform rounds, troubleshoot, support changes, and coordinate with site teams. The role requires flexibility for shift work and travel between data center locations; a relocation stipend may be provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and drive to resolution, executing projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices and local regulations.
