Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain our mission-critical facilities and sustain 99.999% uptime across diverse data centers.

You will perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, operate and monitor critical systems, coordinate with contractors, and support safety and change-management practices across sites in Ohio and beyond.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Experience in data center or mission critical facility preferred.
• Associate or higher education in related field.
• Experience with reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support on-site contractors and vendors and ensure compliance with practices and local regulations.
