Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to support mission‑critical facilities across multiple data centers.

You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, monitor BMS/EPMS systems, and troubleshoot events within SLA while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. The role emphasizes on‑site operations, flexibility in shifts including nights and weekends, and potential travel between data center sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On‑site support of contractors and vendors ensuring adherence to practices and local legislation.
