Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard critical infrastructure and ensure 24/7 reliability of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems across facilities.

You will perform rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot events, install/remove racks, and contribute to change management while coordinating with contractors and vendors. The role requires adaptability to shift schedules and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform preventive maintenance and root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Author technical documentation to support change management.
• Provide on-site support to contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
