About The Role

As the Technical Manager at CBRE Data Center Solutions, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and oversee Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) Governance. You will provide technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems, supporting site operations. You will also manage CERM processes, including KPI reporting and risk strategies to ensure environment stability and safety. A strong engineering background is essential to support operational reliability and risk mitigation.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Implement and report on SHIELD/CERM initiatives and areas such as client contract review, infrastructure documentation, operational planning, staffing, business continuity, training, drills, maintenance, SOPs, incident support, capacity management, root cause analysis, risk register, and airflow management.

Leadership & Communication

• Experienced leader with 10+ years managing facility engineering teams.
• Proven strategic planning and execution skills in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Power BI, CMMS, BMS, DCIM, EPMS, Bluebeam, CAD.
• Experience in work order analysis and report writing.

Technical Expertise & Knowledge

• Operation, maintenance, and repair of data center critical infrastructure including generators, UPS, PDU, ATS, chilled water systems, CRAHs, CRACs, water treatment, BMS, EPMS, CMMS, DCIM.

Engineering Knowledge

• Psychrometrics, HVAC calculations, electrical diagrams, NFPA standards, industry standards, maintenance principles, energy metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering preferred.
• PE license is a plus.
• 3-5 years in data center design or operations.
• Leadership and organizational skills; advanced math skills.
