About The Role

As the Technical Manager at CBRE Data Center Solutions, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and oversee Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) Governance. You will provide technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems, supporting site operations. You will also manage CERM processes, including KPI reporting and risk strategies to ensure the safety and stability of critical environments. A strong engineering background is essential for supporting operational reliability and risk mitigation.

  • Critical Infrastructure Drawing and Document Management
  • Site Operational RACI
  • Staffing Analysis
  • Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Qualification & Human Error Training
  • Mock Scenario Drills Testing
  • Maintenance Planning
  • Operational Procedures (SOP, EOP, MOP)
  • Incident Support
  • Critical Work Planning
  • Critical Infrastructure Capacity Management
  • Root Cause Analysis and After-action Reports
  • Risk Register Management
  • Data Center Floor Airflow Management
Leadership & Communication
  • 10+ years of experience managing facility engineering teams
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Power BI
  • Experience with CMMS, BMS, DCIM, EPMS
  • Skilled in Bluebeam and CAD software
Technical Expertise & Knowledge
  • Operation and maintenance of data center infrastructure (generators, UPS, PDU, ATS, chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, water systems)
  • Reading electrical diagrams and understanding HVAC calculations
  • Knowledge of electrical codes (NFPA 70, 70E, 70B), industry standards (ASHRAE, OCP)
  • Preventative, predictive, reactive maintenance principles
  • Energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Professional Engineering License (a plus)
  • 3-5 years in data center design or operations
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong math skills for calculations and analysis
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000 annually. Benefits include 401(k), Dental, Health, Life, and Vision insurance.
