About The Role

As the Technical Manager at CBRE Data Center Solutions, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and oversee Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) Governance. You will provide technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems, supporting site operations. Additionally, you will manage CERM processes, reporting on KPIs and implementing risk strategies to ensure the safety and stability of critical environments. A strong engineering background is essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement and report on SHIELD/CERM initiatives
• Manage client contract reviews and critical infrastructure documentation
• Oversee site operations, staffing, and business continuity plans
• Conduct training, mock drills, and incident support
• Manage infrastructure capacity and perform root cause analyses
• Maintain risk registers and oversee airflow management

Leadership & Communication

• Experienced leader with 10+ years managing facility engineering teams
• Strong strategic planning and communication skills

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Power BI, CMMS, BMS, DCIM, EPMS, Bluebeam, CAD
• Experience with work order analysis and report writing

Technical Expertise & Knowledge

• Operation, maintenance, and repair of data center infrastructure: generators, UPS, PDU, ATS, chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, water systems
• Reading electrical diagrams, HVAC calculations, NFPA standards, industry standards (ASHRAE, OCP)
• Knowledge of energy metrics and sustainable practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering preferred
• PE license is a plus
• 3-5 years in data center design or operations
• Leadership skills, organizational skills, advanced math skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 - $180,000 annually. Benefits include 401(k), dental, health, life, and vision insurance.
