Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to support our global data center infrastructure. You will perform building rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, and assist in troubleshooting rack-level events while adhering to SLAs.

The role involves on-site, shift-based work with potential overtime and night differentials. You will collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure safety and reliability of critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems.
• Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working, use hands to manipulate small wires and objects, walk on job sites in uneven terrain, and work at heights and from ladders.
• Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
