Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our 24/7 data center operations team.

You will troubleshoot and maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems, work on preventive maintenance, and support shift-based operations across our facilities. The role requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, 2+ years of relevant experience, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform periodic maintenance tasks including HVAC PMs, rack power installs, and PDU/ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during all tasks.
• Respond to on-call rotations for data center sites.
