Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Ashburn, VA to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure and ensure 99.999% uptime. You will handle hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment, from diesel generators to UPS, PDUs, chillers, and cooling systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance or mechanical facilities experience.
• Experience reading and following technical documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist in on-site support of contractors, vendors, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with practices and regulations.
