Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to protect and maintain critical infrastructure across AWS data centers.

You will monitor and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems to help achieve high uptime and reliability. The role requires hands-on maintenance, on-call readiness, and the ability to work across multiple sites with a diverse team of engineers and operations staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Create and maintain technical change-management documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors per procedures and local laws.
• Support site rotations and travel between locations as needed.
