Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical facilities and ensure 24/7 uptime across AWS data centers in the U.S.

This hands-on role covers electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, with opportunities to work alongside software and security colleagues in a fast-paced environment. You will perform rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, and troubleshoot issues, while coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning.
• Support change management and technical documentation.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors.
