Job summary
TECEZE is seeking a Data Center Engineer to support and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, storage equipment, racks, and cabling. The role requires hands-on hardware installation, configuration, and proactive troubleshooting to ensure uptime.
You will collaborate with network, infrastructure, and remote support teams, manage inventory, and participate in moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning activities while adhering to safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience with data center hardware, servers, switches, routers, and storage.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, and rack layouts.
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs) and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work onsite during maintenance windows.
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware.
- Troubleshoot servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
- Manage rack layouts, cabling, and equipment installation.
- Perform hardware replacements and break/fix activities.
- Monitor equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation.
- Support data center moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning.
- Follow data center safety and security procedures.
- Coordinate with Network, Infrastructure, and remote support teams.
