Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Energy Scheduling & Portfolio Lead to own energy availability for our non-cloud data center portfolio, coordinating with LSEs, suppliers, and load planning to keep compute workloads powered and within contractual commitments.

You will build processes, forecast energy usage, manage gas scheduling, and collaborate with finance, operations, and legal to ensure reliable, cost-effective energy delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in energy markets or scheduling.
• Experience with ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, MISO, or similar.
• Ability to read ESAs, PPAs, and utility agreements.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Own the live view of energy availability risk and need.
• Coordinate with LSEs, QSEs, scheduling coordinators, and suppliers.
• Predict and track curtailment and reliability events.
• Oversee load-flexibility contributions to ratepayer protection.
• Manage ESAs and utility load agreements; liaise with legal and origination.
• Determine gas scheduling and gas-fired behind-the-meter supply strategy.
• Build energy forecasting aligned with workload planning and finance.
• Collaborate across teams to align energy position with operations.
