Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician in Summerville, SC to support critical facilities operations. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a data center environment, following established procedures under supervision.

The role requires technical training or apprenticeship and 1–2 years of related experience, with shifts that may include weekends or holidays. You will interact with vendors and manage facility reliability daily.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in a technical discipline or equivalent education.
• 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Complete safety procedures and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
