Job summary

M.C. Dean in Virginia is seeking an experienced electrical technician to maintain data center systems and support mission‑critical facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergent issues, and work with engineers to ensure uptime above 99.999%. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, a state Masters License, and TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience.
• State issued Masters License required.
• U.S. Citizenship; TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience with data center electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and regulate power distribution, switchgear, UPS, and generators.
• Verify safety compliance with local codes and SOPs.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Lead junior technicians and coordinate with vendors.
• Respond to emergencies to maintain critical load.
