Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in building intelligence, seeks a skilled facilities technician to maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety systems in mission-critical data centers.

You will report to a program manager and work with OEO and vendors to keep operations running smoothly. Must hold a State Certified Journeyman's License or VMET Certification, have 8+ years of relevant experience, and possess strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• State Certified Journeyman's License or VMET Certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of power density and parity with HVAC system capacities.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and their components.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operate at peak efficiency and maintain 99.999% uptime.
• Render assistance in administration of duties of junior technicians and oversee contractors' electrical work.
• Analyze systems requirements and recommend modifications; install units or parts per specs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify malfunctioning electronic units and data center systems.
• Perform maintenance, installations and service repairs; log activities in CMMS.
• Monitor site BAS and respond to emergencies; coordinate with vendors.
• Set up test equipment and create MOPs/SOPs; generate reliability reports.
• Provide training to junior technicians.
