Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead data center construction initiatives in the United States. You will coordinate diverse stakeholders, manage critical milestones, and ensure QA/QC and safety standards are met on site.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of electrical project management experience in built environments, with oversight of switchgear, UPS, and transformers, and a collaborative approach to deliver mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant project management experience on electrical systems in built environments.
• Experience with design/construction including BMS controls or vendor equipment.
• Proficiency with construction documents (drawings, submittals, RFIs).
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage, coordinate, and collaborate with project stakeholders.
• Communicate across internal teams to ensure efficient delivery to the client.
• Monitor milestone activities (switchgear delivery, factory testing, energization) to avoid schedule slips.
• Ensure governance, QA/QC, pre-commissioning checklists, and specialized systems are followed.
• Apply industry standards and safety protocols on electrical projects.
• Produce formal status reports and other required documentation.
• Monitor progress across multiple projects and ensure compliance with electrical codes.
• Manage interface with equipment suppliers through trackers and reviews.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, GCs and regional stakeholders.
• Review submittals and RFIs; foster client relationships for future opportunities.
• Provide strategic advice to teams to meet client and business objectives.
• Capture key learnings and drive process improvements.
