Job summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced Data Center Electrical Engineer Owner's Representative to lead the electrical scope across data center construction projects in Austin/San Antonio. The role involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure design intent, quality installations, and on‑time delivery while adhering to owner specifications and commissioning requirements.

Qualifications

10 years of relevant electrical experience.
Data center and mission critical design concepts (NEC, NFPA 70E knowledge) preferred.
Experience with medium voltage power distribution (AIS & GIS).
Former Field Service Representative (FSR) or NETA testing experience is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and controls schematics/diagrams.
Experience bidding, designing, operating and commissioning electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the Electrical Scope for data center construction projects from concept through commissioning.
Navigate HV to LV equipment and electrical distribution issues on site.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to remediate issues and maintain project schedules.
Manage budgets, scheduling, and contractor resource assignments.
Track contractor performance, proposals, bids, scope definition, and design reviews.
