Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the TCDC/VCDC NPD Pod in data center product development. You will contribute to electrical design, design verification, and product line improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive margin and performance.

The role emphasizes validating new designs, incorporating feedback from manufacturing and field teams, and supporting ongoing product enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum of three years of experience in design engineering, product engineering, or new product development.
Experience supporting electrical systems, controls integration, or related product design activities preferred.
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer-focused with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

Support electrical design for Airside Data Center TCDC and VCDC products, focusing on electrical design and integration.
Contribute to concept development, electrical design, and design verification for new products and major enhancements.
Support projects improving capability, performance, manufacturability, and competitiveness of TCDC and VCDC platforms.
Develop and review electrical design content, wiring concepts, and related engineering documentation.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop drawings, models, and product configurations.
Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, manufacturing, and product management to resolve issues.
