AECOM in Virginia is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 2+ years of building MEP electrical design experience to work on mission-critical and data center facilities. The role offers hybrid/remote schedule with occasional travel to client sites and milestones.

You will design electrical systems, perform calculations, develop plans, and coordinate with multiple disciplines while growing expertise in data center infrastructure. Candidates with Revit/ACC and NEC knowledge are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with 2 years of building MEP electrical design experience.
• Experience with Revit and ACC preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems; SKM or ETAP is a plus.
• Working knowledge of NEC and familiarity with IBC/IECC.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team under guidance of senior engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for mission critical and data center facilities, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems.
• Perform electrical calculations and assist with equipment sizing and load calculations.
• Develop electrical plans, one-line diagrams, schedules, details, and specifications under guidance of senior engineers.
• Apply NEC and building codes to electrical design and documentation.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architecture, mechanical, structural, civil and other disciplines.
• Support senior engineers in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge of data center electrical systems, including reliability and redundancy.
• Continue developing technical and professional skills through project experience, mentoring, and training.
