Job summary

Tom Green & Company Engineers (TGCE) in Austin, TX, is seeking an MEP Electrical Engineer (EIT) to design building electrical systems under PE supervision, including load calculations, One-lines, panel schedules, fault current and voltage drop, lighting, and specs. You will work on data center projects and forensic investigations, with site visits to verify builds.

Qualifications

• Must have FE or EIT with PE in sight in the next year or two.
• Hands-on building electrical design experience at MEP/A/E firms, including the calculations behind drawings.
• Proficiency with Revit or AutoCAD for electrical design.
• Curiosity about why systems fail and ability to work in the Austin office.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems under the review of experienced PEs: load calculations, one-lines, panel schedules, fault current and voltage drop, lighting, and specifications.
• Work on data center projects, support forensic investigations, and visit job sites to see how designs are built.
• As you earn your PE, take on ownership of your own projects.
