Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an EHS Manager, Data Center Construction and Operations to own environment, health, and safety across the full lifecycle of our data center sites—from construction through live operations. You will lead contractor safety programs and set expectations with general contractors, subcontractors, and specialty trades on multi‑employer worksites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of EHS experience in construction or data center projects.
• Experience with contractor safety, prequalification, safety plan review, permits, and multi-employer oversight.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry standards (29 CFR 1926/1910), NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Build and run programs governing contractor work on sites — prequalification, safety plan review, site orientation, high‑hazard work permitting, and audits/inspections.
• Own EHS across construction, commissioning, and operations phases; manage energization, testing, and handover to operations.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, drive root cause, and maintain OSHA reporting across the portfolio.
• Set safety expectations on multi‑employer worksites and coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and partners to ensure safe work.
• Develop training, playbooks, and program documents; oversee external safety partners and vendor relations.
