Job summary

Nscale is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support operations at our North Carolina data center in Madison. This is a fully on-site role serving as the primary EHS leader responsible for implementing and maintaining programs that protect employees, contractors, visitors, and business operations while ensuring compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the colocation provider, incident management, training, and program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in data centers or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently as the primary EHS resource at the site.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site EHS programs and standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with colocation partner and vendors on EHS requirements.
• Deliver training and onboarding for employees and contractors.
• Track EHS performance metrics and prepare leadership reports.
