Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an EHS Construction Lead to monitor data center project delivery on our site in Red Oak, Texas. You will collaborate with the construction management team, track EHS performance, and ensure adherence to safety practices and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field or equivalent experience, plus several years of construction administration and EHS coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• In lieu of a degree, experience will be considered.
• Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.
• Previous data center construction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Routinely monitor GC EHS performance and regulatory compliance.
• Provide data on GC EHS performance to DC construction management.
• Support safety meetings and notices to share EHS information across site.
• Ensure daily safety tours with GC management and owner representative.
• Participate in site tours with GC safety rep.
• Coach and advise safety committee.
• Support risk and hazard assessments.
• Assist in incident investigations and significant events.
• Coordinate Significant Event (SPE) processes.
• Escalate non-compliance to GC and owner PM.
• Ensure GC-provided EHS data is accurate and timely.
• Conduct monthly GC EHS evaluation.
• Issue weekly EHS summary.
• Oversee the Boots on the Ground program.
• Participate in progress and schedule meetings where EHS is impacted.
• Assist in design reviews across lifecycle (planning, design, permitting, construction, Cx, handover).
• Support the development of the DCCEHSP (Data Center Construction EHS Plan).
• Other duties as assigned.
