Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE for a data center construction program. You will oversee safety programs, site inspections, and risk controls across multiple contractors.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in construction HSE, a CCM or similar certification, OSHA 30, and strong ability to coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure compliance and timely delivery. On-site presence is required with occasional travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• CCM certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification; OSHA 500/510, BCSP credentials (OHST, ASP, CSP, CHST) and CPR preferred.
• Experience implementing and monitoring project HSE plans or contractor safety plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to internal teams and stakeholders, including oversight of construction effort and progress reporting.
• Own and manage contracts and budgets for direct contracts as assigned, ensuring alignment with cost budgets.
• Develop and coordinate detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; conduct site inspections and audits.
• Identify and address quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Proactively manage risks related to construction execution and HES; coordinate GC actions on risk as needed.
• Review drawings for constructability and provide input during early project phases.
• Create and coordinate monthly, daily, and event reporting with Construction Field Representative.
• Coordinate meeting minutes for Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and site progress meetings.
• Support RFI and submittal processes in line with cost budgets.
• Assist client PM in coordinating safety, QA/QC, and labor relations programs meeting OE objectives.
• Help establish project success criteria across time, cost, technical and quality metrics.
• Support development and execution of procurement strategies with the client.
• Act as schedule owner or support project scheduler; track critical actions and milestones.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams including subcontractors and vendors.
