QTS Data Centers in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Development Project Engineer (Data Center Construction) to support design, preconstruction and construction across multiple campuses. You will collaborate with Facilities, contractors, designers, engineers and operations teams to keep programs on schedule and within budget.

This role also involves assisting with entitlements, permitting, master development planning and capital budgeting, plus regular updates for executive reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist Development leadership and Project Manager with day-to-day activities.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for multiple campus projects.
• Support master development program and capital budget for site(s).
• Assist with entitlement and permitting needs for each site project.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and procurement teams.
• Review project schedules and manage teams for on-time completion.
• Negotiate pricing for change orders with contractors.
